On Friday, January 5, 2018 Bishop Jink (James) Riddle departed this life for eternity, surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

Bishop Riddle was born in Orrville, Alabama on February 13, 1927 to the union of Archie and Louisa Riddle.  He attended Keith High School in Orrville, Alabama.  He was united in marriage to Missionary Lucille Riddle for 65 years.  After marriage he moved to Mobile, Alabama where he was employed by the Alabama State Docks as a longshoreman until retirement.

Bishop Riddle received the Gift of the Holy Ghost January 10, 1984, under the leadership of the late Theodore Scott, Pastor of the Church of God Pentecostal, Mobile, Alabama.  He was anointed to preach God’s Word June 1985.  He started two churches in Trinity Garden where many souls were saved.  Later he became Pastor of Maysville Church of God Pentecostal, where many more souls were saved.  After many years of pastoring, he retired, but not from preaching the Word of God.  He was faithful to the end.

Bishop Riddle was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Louisa Riddle; a son, Michael Shane Riddle; four sisters, Savannah Riddle-Tolbert, Elizabeth Riddle-James, Viola Riddle-Bellafort, Fannie Riddle-Hudson; and six brothers, Coleman Riddle, Archie Riddle Jr., Arthur (DecK) Riddle Sr., Alfred Riddle Sr., Willie Williams, and Major Williams.

Bishop Riddle leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife Missionary Lucille E. Riddle; two devoted daughters Helen (Andrew) Bennet of Riverdale, GA and Micheryl T. Gaines of Mobile, AL; five devoted sons Bobby (Gertina) of Fayetteville, NC, Walter and, Jink (Dollie) Jr. of Mobile, AL, Glenn of Jackson, MS and Kelvin of Fairburn, GA; two devoted sisters: Ada Riddle-Smith of Fort Wayne, IN and Salina Riddle of East Point, GA; two devoted brothers: Levi (Thelma), Oscar (Betty) of Palmetto, GA; 15 grandchildren, one devoted:  Mark Gaines of Mobile, AL; 12 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law:  Rueben (Jackie) Ellis of Orrville, AL; a sister-in-law:  Pinky Ellis of Orrville, AL ; a spiritual son and daughter:  Bishop Willie (Lula) Niles of Mobile, AL and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services will take place at the Church of God Pentecostal, Inc. • 818 Telegraph Road • Prichard, AL 36610 on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. A public viewing will take place at 9AM, until the 11AM Celebration Service.
