Callie Eldridge Lambert

March 7, 1939 ~ September 22, 2018 (age 79)

Mrs. Callie Eldridge Lambert, a native of Demopolis, AL, and resident of Mobile, AL, departed peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Mobile Infirmary Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Lizzie) Eldridge; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Eldridge Fluker, Mrs. Annie Bell Ash and Mrs. Mary Ford; and three brothers, Ezekiel, Eddie, and Jessie Eldridge.
Mrs. Callie Eldridge Lambert received Christ at an early age and united into the church through baptism at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Mobile, AL. For 32 years she cared for many children as the owner of Lambert’s Home Daycare.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Mr. James F. Lambert, Sr.; children, Shirley (Willie Sr.) Chaney, Sharon (Richard) Stanley, Sylvia D. Lambert, James F. Lambert, Jr., Gregory (Jayme Williams) Ford and Tyhenia Ford; twelve grandchildren, Shemekia (Johnathon Sr.) Perryman, Shartasca (Melvin) Leatherwood, Britney (Darion) Ford, Willie Jr. (Shannon) Chaney, Jamarius Ruffin, Calleshia Stanley, Shaquannah Ruffin, Bianca Clarke, Shaniqua Ruffin, Jamese Lambert, James F. Lambert, III, and Jamison Lambert; twenty-six great-grandchildren, Johnathon Perryman, Jr., JaKayla Perryman, Michael Lambert, Marcale Hansworth, Janiyah Calhoun, Jayden Ford, Makenzie Chaney, Shamar Leatherwood, Kendall Chaney, Keshawn Leatherwood, Jayla Ford, Jamarion Ruffin, Aubree Ruffin, Keldrick Chaney, Jurnee Ruffin, Jayceon Ruffin, Jamarius Ruffin, Autumn Ruffin, Landen Ruffin, Keymori Ruffin, Ariel Lambert, Arianna Lambert, JaKiy’ah Ruffin, Jamari Ruffin, Malia Chaney, and Ava Ruffin; one sister, Florence Eldridge of Springfield, MA; and three brothers, James (Debbie) Eldridge, Jimmy (Lorraine) Eldridge, both of Atlanta, GA, and Richard (Dr. Ruby) Eldridge of Mobile, AL.; two sister in laws, Kristina Payton and Stephanie Lambert Carstarphen; two brother in laws, Robert Lambert, Jr. and Pastor Andre (Joyce) Lambert. Further cherishing her beloved memories are her adopted daughters, Jovitta Chandler and Amelia Bradford; and a host of nieces, one devoted, Sarah  Strong, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
