Elder Cleveland Phillips Sr., a native of Mobile, Alabama, was born on March 10, 1958,
and departed his earthly life for his eternal life on May 4, 2019.
He accepted Christ as his Lordand Savior earlier in his life and began his Street, Jail & Nursing Home Ministry . Later, he
became the Sunday School Superintendent and Assistant Pastor, a faithful and loyal servant of
New Life Holiness Church under the leadership of Overseer Pastor Robert E. Stokes.
Elder Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Cassie Bell Phillips;
brothers, Jerome Phillips and Eddie Law; and sisters, Sandra Phillips and Melissa Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Missionary Rosetta Clark-Phillips; sons,
Cleveland (Christine) Phillips, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, Bryant Phillips, Richard Williams,
and Yusuf (Tiffany) Clark, Sr., of Mobile, AL; daughters, Lisa Phillips of Jacksonville, FL,
Catina Clark and Tamisha (Joseph) Smith of Mobile, AL; twenty-three grandchildren and
seven great-grands; brothers, Joseph Law of Philadelphia, PA, Elder Eugene (Sandra) Phillips,
Elder Nathaniel (Carolyn) Phillips, Samuel Johnson, and Michael Phillips; sisters, Evang. Sylvia
(Gerald) Trotter, and Dester Phillips, all of Mobile, AL; sisters-in-law, Min. Lillie (Alvin) Craig,
Laura Mitchell, and Queen Lafiette all of Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts,
cousins, other relatives, and friends.
