Jerry Dan Wright was born on January 5, 1946 in Selma, Alabama to the late Frank Hunter and Mary Hunter Wright. He exchanged life for eternity on April 13, 2018, at the home of his daughter, Tammy Davis, while surrounded by many family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, James (Bill) Hunter, Theodore Hunter, Herbert Wright, Henry Wright, and George Wright Jr.; and three sisters, Annie Mae Hunter, Sadie Moffett, and Lettie Moultrie Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife of 51 years, Mrs. Jennie M. Wright; one devoted daughter, Mrs. Tammy (Bishop Freddie L.) Davis Sr. of Mobile, AL; six devoted grandchildren, Jarvis D. Wright and Lucas D. Davis, both of Birmingham, AL, Jana M. Davis and Freddie L. Davis, Jr. of Mobile, AL, Prendis (Arcenia) Sullivan of Fort Drum, New York, and Mrs. Joi (Pastor Cedric McMillian) of Mobile, AL; one brother, Willie (Ann) Hunter of Pensacola, FL; four sisters, Emma Wright of Inglewood, NJ, Sarah McArthur of Syracuse, New York, Shirley Hunter of Edison, GA, Callie Hunter and Virginia Hunter, both of Atkins OH, and Katie Hunter of Los Angles, CA; five devoted friends, April Johnson, Deloris Chastang, Chuck Lockett, Stephanie Hedgeman, and Carolyn Andrew; a devoted spiritual daughter, Linda Harmon; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
