Lanord Dandridge

September 1, 1965 ~ June 30, 2018 (age 52)

Mr. Lanord Dandridge, born September 01, 1965, exchanged this physical body for a new and glorified body on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at a local hospital. Lanord was born to the union of the late Leon Shamburger and Dorothy Jean Dandridge in Mobile, Alabama where he was a lifelong resident. Lanord was a master roofer, he was sub contracted with Langham Contracting; he also worked for Dobson and Council Roofing and Thomas Roofing. Lanord had many hobbies, some of which included his love for the Alabama Crimson Tide Football team, playing spades and dominoes and he loved fishing.

 Lanord was loved by many and will be missed greatly; he was preceded in death by his parents, son Lanord Dandridge Jr., one brother Michael Shamburger, his mother and father-in-law Harrison and Alice Sanders, Brother-in-Law Archie Lee Shamburger, and one Grandson Laborise Creagh. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of over 35 years, Mrs. Almeda Dandridge, one daughter Tomicka (Samuel) Rox of Mobile; Three (3) sons, Kendel (April), Tomichael (Shaketa), and Corey Robinson. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Lorial, Almeda, Mikayla, JyAsia, Samihya, Jayna, Ta Michael Jr, Tomijah, Aquelah, Shakendra, Kendell Jr, Jade, Zacoria, and Corneisha; Great Grandchildren Ta Lauren and Imeer Robinson. He also leaves behind eight brothers, four devoted; Mack (LaDonna), Jeffrey (Maezette) Dandridge, Jimmie (Ty’Landra) and Bobby Shamburger; Michael and Leon Yates, Clifford, Shaquille and Leon Shamburger III; sisters Carolyn Yates, Clara Holder, Cherry Shamburger, Jasmine, Bianca, and Brittany Dokes; Sisters-in-Laws; Mary (Roy) Robinson, Brenda (Clarence) Jones, and Linda Thomas; a host of Nieces, devoted: Violet (Frederick) Jackson, Annjeanette (Andre) Breedlove, Dorothy McNeil, Kira Dandridge, Shameka and Sarah Johnson, Erica and Jessica Wiggins, and Destini and India Lawton. A host of nephews devoted: Skylar, Brandon and Mack Jr Dandridge, LaBarron and Frederick McNeil, Bobby and Brandon Shamburger; his Aunts, Gladys Mae Johnson, Birdia and Darlene Shamburger, one uncle John Lee Shamburger. Special Loved Ones, Deborah Shamburger and Bertta Dokes, a host of cousins, two devoted Barry Johnson and Terry Shamburger. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of other family and friends.

A Public Viewing will take place on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 1PM - 6PM at Heritage Funeral Home | 953 S. Broad Street, Mobile, AL 36603. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2017 at 9AM, followed by at 11AM Service at Arlington Street Baptist Church | 2554 Pleasant Valley Road, Mobile, AL 36606.
