Mr. Lavelle Jerrell Perkins was born May 19, 1990, to Mr. Labarron Perkins, Sr., and Ms. Sandra Hallum Coleman in Dayton, OH. He and his family moved to Mobile, AL, when he was a young child. Raised in the Orange Grove Community, Lavelle attended Nazaree Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Jr. Usher Board and sang with the Jr. Choir.
Although he struggled as he transitioned into adulthood, he was blessed to have time on Earth to honor God’s blessings by becoming a better man and a devoted father. He was loyal and very protective of his family. Lavelle was blessed to see better days and enjoy life as he traveled and worked for his devoted friend, Mr. Jeremy Biddle, aka, Yung Bleu.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Celestine Hayes, and aunt, Debra Hayes. Lavelle leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted parents; two loving children Iyla and Lavelle Jr., of Atlanta, GA; loving grandmother, Ms. Josie Hallum; two loving sisters, LaKisha Rogers and LaToya Hallum; two devoted brothers, Labarron Perkins, Jr., and Clyde Coleman, Jr.; and devoted childhood friends, Robert Blackmon Jr., Cameron Perkins, Jamario Houston, Javonta Lane, James Crandle, and Jeremy Richardson; 31 nieces and nephews, Labarron III, Santiago, LaDarron, Jalyiah, Lamyiah, Joseph Jr., Trimicheal, Trimyis, Trizyiah, Trivelle, Victor Jr., Variah, Vonterrius, Kayla, Diego, Daniella, Jermaih Jr., Kenya, Kirra, Kaleel, Jermani, Julius, Justus, Jaron, Jawon, Davion, Brandon Jr., Brayla, Chayce, Clyde III, and La’Vedrian; nine aunts, Elizabeth Powell, Lanora Watts, Claudia Griffin, Lessie Hallum, Latanya Hallum, Sheila, Tracey, Vanessa and Darlene Perkins, five uncles, Jerry, Samuel and Gary Watts, Leonard Hallum, and Robin Perkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
