Michael Antonio Orr was called by name on November 11, 1972, and called by God to rest on December 23, 2018. He is preceded in death by: his mother, Mable Orr Wells; grandparents, Charlie and Mattie Pearl Orr, and Betty Mae Newsome; great-grandmother, Elnora Williams; and two aunts, Debra Orr Wells and Valerie Jean Williams Cooper.
He leaves to cherish: his only daughter, Ladestiny Buck; his loving sister, Vaneeka (Derrick Coale) Orr; two nieces, Shanekqua (Corey Watkins) and Keiarra Stovall; two nephews, Robert Stovall III and Phillip Johnson, Jr.; one great-niece, Cali; three great-nephews, Corey Jr., Dakota and Ryan; his father, Alfred Kennedy; devoted stepfather, Donald Wells; six aunts, Cynthia and Claudette Orr, Elnora Burkes, Betty Myatt, and Patricia Irby; devoted oldest living aunt, Great-Aunt Kate Beard; three uncles, Mark (Shirley) Orr, Charles Anderson, and Uncle Teddy; a devoted friend, Angelo Matthews; and a host of other family and friends.
Mike played football throughout his high school years at Mobile County High. After graduation, he went into the United States Navy, where he served three years. He had a passion for cooking, but loved barbequing. He would ask you, “What you gone do, bar-b-que or mildew?” He was and all around fun-loving guy, who was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
